Indigenous Craft
Repositioning the Place of Indigenous Craft
By constantly educating the public and businesses about the significance of Indigenous crafts, we aim to shift Indigenous crafts from the image of low priced, easy-to-replicate, low quality, to appreciate their value in today’s world.
Our Commitment
Cultural Exhibition and Events
In addition to the things we do in the village, we want to increase the public's appreciation of weaving and handicraft culture in Indonesia. This is why we are committed to hosting cultural activities and events, such as Dayak cultural arts and exhibitions (DANCE).
DANCE & Indigenous Dayak Arts and Culture
An event for cultural immersion and deeper insights on Indigenous Dayak living in the heart of Borneo and their home; forests. This unforgettable event includes antique Dayak Weaving Exhibition, weaving workshops, photo exhibition, Traditional Dayak music (Sape and Kecapi) performance, fashion show, movie screenings on the issues currently faced by Indigenous Dayak communities & some Dayak delicacies.
Weaving Workshops
We occasionally organize workshops on Dayak weaving techniques in the hope that the public's appreciation of Dayak weaving can increase through the weaving workshop that we organize. Especially when the participants tried weaving their own like our artisans, we hope that more people will want to know about Indonesian culture and join us in preserving it.
